Larry Wanagas, Founder & President
Founding Bumstead Productions in Edmonton, Alberta in 1979, Larry Wanagas has over the years represented a number of successful artists including: Susan Aglukark, Big Sugar, The Blue Shadows (featuring Billy Cowsill), Colin James, Erasure (in NA only), Richard Julian, k.d. lang, Madeline Peroux, The Trews, and Two Hours Traffic. Bumstead Productions award winning management roster currently includes The Trews, Tim Chaisson, and The East Pointers.
Annie MacDonald, Artist Manager
After graduating from St.FX University (Nova Scotia) with a Degree in Marketing, followed by her dream of travelling the UK, Annie moved to Toronto in 2010 and began as the finance assistant at Bumstead Productions. A few years in, Annie moved on to become the executive assistant to president, Larry Wanagas, and in 2016 began taking on the artist management role.
Annie has been directly involved with multiple album releases and national and international tours for one of Canada’s most successful and beloved rock bands, The Trews.
Jamie New Johnson, Artist Manager
Entering the artist management world in 2011 with a 2-year term at Music Managers Forum Canada, Jamie has since represented a roster of award-winning, radio charting, internationally touring, and film and television licensing artists such as Western Canadian pop/rock/alt artists Sidney York, The Wet Secrets, and Gay Nineties; as well as pop/R&B artist Jocelyn Alice. In 2015 Jamie launched Jocelyn Alice into national success with hit single ‘Jackpot’, reaching #11 on top 40/hot AC radio, subsequently resulting in Platinum certification in Canada (80,000).
Always having been involved in education, Jamie began her own educational website for artists and managers in 2013, and in 2016 published her first book, “The Music Business for Artists Managers & Self-Managed Artists: All You Need To Know To Get Started, Get Noticed, and Get Signed”, in which she interviewed and included advice from over 30 music business experts.
Additionally, Jamie has been the advertising and editorial manager at Canada’s top spot for country music access, TopCountry.ca, since early 2015.
Jamie joined Bumstead in August 2016 working with The Trews and Tim Chaisson.
